The first part was our family of four spending a few days in Cuchara, Colorado. Paul's aunt and uncle have a condo there and they are so kind about sharing this little gem in the mountains. Paul and I have been there before, waaaaay back before we were even engaged, but this was Lucy and Savannah's first trip down there. We had a great time hiking, fishing, watching movies, spending time in the little town of Cuchara, lounging around, playing games, enjoying cocktail hour (while both kids napped!) and cooking. It was the perfect relaxing way to start this trip.

Colorado, part 1
We were fortunate to spend the end of June and early July in the beautiful mountains of Colorado. We broke this lengthy road trip into three parts spanning the southern part of the state, followed by a short stay in Colorado Springs and then we finally made our way up to Rocky Mountain National Park, in Estes Park.
