Riverfront Park and Burcham Park

RIVERFRONT PARK

There is no picture by the sign, so there is no need to keep scrolling down looking for it. But we went there. We ate lunch there. It counts. (Can you tell we are nearing the end of this challenge, my need to stick to the rules is lessening by the day...)

BURCHAM PARK
Have you been to Burcham Park lately? Me neither. At least not prior to this adventure last week. So, I had no idea the playground equipment was enclosed in the construction fence so you cannot actually get to it. Really, I should have taken a picture of it. Or maybe of the looks on our faces when the swingset came into view, right along with the lovely metal fence surrounding it. Luckily this park is pretty - I think even in the eyes of Lucy who does not think it counts as a park if there is not a slide or swingset - and it was beautiful by the river that day so we had lots of fun despite the playground equipment being off-limits. Oh and a creative-minded Gaga never hurst! And if you haven't been out there to see the KU Boathouse for the rowers, it's worth the trip. So cool!
